Vital Pulpotomy on Adult

Abstract

|
Pulpotomy was performed on 142 teeth. aged from 30 to 60 years.
The results were as follows:
1. Pulp vitality could be remained after pulpotomy by means of corticosteroid added calcium hydroxide.
2. It was noted that as the patient grows older the fregency of failure was increased accordingly.
3. This method showed more satisfactory and better results than that of calcium hydroxide alone.
4. In this study 95.7per cents were successful.
5. X-ray pictures revealed the formation of dentin bridge after 36 months in ages of 30-40.
In the patients of 4160 years the formation of dentin bridge couldn¢¥t be observed within eight months, but clinically the teeth were comfortable.
